Details: A Miami jury awarded more than $2 million to a private equity firm who says it was stiffed by a cheese distributor who took off with its money and left it nothing but a deserted and stripped-down warehouse.

The jury found in favor of the Huff Alternative Fund L.P. against Miami businessman Jose Salazar and his companies, Latin Food Group Inc., Latin Dairy Foods LLC and JLS Holdings Inc. following a trial in Miami-Dade Circuit Court from Jan. 5-15.
