Details: David Nelson had just picked up his mail when a neighbor, Jaime Vogel, shot and killed him in the parking lot of Plantation's Harbor Town Apartment Homes, managed by Greystar Management Co. Nelson, a former Marine who survived tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, died a few feet from his front door on July 17, 2012.
