Attorney Leads H&K Team in Rare Hyatt Licensing Deal

As the lead legal adviser representing Interval Leisure Group, Knight led a group of more than 30 Holland & Knight lawyers in finalizing the client's purchase of Hyatt Hotels Corp.'s timeshares division for $190 million. In addition, Interval also bought Hyatt's interest in a joint venture that is developing a 131-unit vacation ownership property in Maui, Hawaii, for $35 million.
Miami-based Interval signed an exclusive master license agreement with Hyatt to continue using the hotel's brand for the 16 vacation ownership resorts in the timeshares division known as Hyatt Residential Group. The properties are located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Puerto Rico and Texas.
