Julie Braman Kane has spent her entire career as a plaintiffs personal injury and products liability attorney—and all of those years have been at Colson Hicks Eidson in Coral Gables, where she started as a law clerk in 1991.

She has first-chaired multimillion-dollar trials, started and chaired a 50-state voter protection program during the last presidential election and served as president of the Miami chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers.

Now, Kane, 47, is set for her biggest challenge. She was installed this month as president-elect of the American Association for Justice, formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America .
