The Deal: The Locke Lord attorneys served as bond counsel to Broward County on an $85 million industrial development revenue bond issue that will be used by Florida Power & Light Co. to finance the construction of solid waste and wastewater treatment facilities at the new FPL plant being built at Port Everglades and at another plant in Fort Lauderdale.
The Broward County Commission unanimously approved the bond financing on June 2 and the bonds were issued on June 11.
