Not long after winning $38 million in compensatory damages for a woman badly injured by medical malpractice, Julie Braman Kane was telling her hair stylist about the case when a physician overheard her.
He pulled Kane aside to tell her the case prompted his hospital and others to change their policies on managing medications.
