Racist vandals spray painted slurs on the first house Miami-Dade County Court Judge Diana Gonzalez-Whyte's family bought in this country when they moved to Oakland Park.

“The first night we slept there,” she said, “we woke up in the morning and they had graffitied our house.”

The house was yellow, the spray paint blue. The words scrawled on the wall left an impression long after they were painted over.
