Sheldon Schlesinger, one of Florida's most successful plaintiffs attorneys who practiced law for six decades, died suddenly at his Fort Lauderdale office Wednesday. He was 85.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Temple Beth-El at 1351 S. 14th Ave. in Hollywood.

The litigator, at times inspired and inspirational, practiced law with his sons, Scott and Gregg, at the Law Offices of Sheldon J. Schlesinger, in a landmark Southern plantation-style building custom-built for the firm. He represented clients in medical malpractice and personal injury cases, winning some of the biggest verdicts in state history.
