Former Miami federal prosecutor Jeffrey Dickstein, who specialized in Medicare fraud cases, has been tapped to start the Miami office of national whistleblower law firm Phillips & Cohen as a partner.

Dickstein said he plans to grow the new office, which has temporary office space at the Southeast Financial Center in downtown Miami and is looking for permanent space.

Phillips & Cohen has offices in Washington, London and San Francisco. The firm represents whistleblowers in qui tam lawsuits under the federal and state false claims laws as well as claims with the whistleblower reward programs of the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Internal Revenue Service.
