National litigation firm Manion Gaynor & Manning has opened an office in Miami and has hired K&L Gates partner Rebecca Kibbe as partner-in-charge.

Kibbe, who was the head of K&L Gates' Florida asbestos litigation practice, will oversee the new office, which is located in Miami's Brickell World Plaza building. She joins a growing number of women who have taken on managerial roles in the last year following significant discussion in Florida about the lack of women in management.

“It's important for young lawyers and especially young women lawyers to see that they can make partner and they can also be a managing partner, and that those opportunities are open to them,” Kibbe said.
