Three Florida-based law firms made it into the newly released 2016 Am Law 100 rankings, and and all three saw revenue gains .

On average, the three­—Greenberg Traurig, Holland & Knight and Akerman—saw gross revenue rise 5.2 percent. Together, the three firms last year brought in $126.7 million more than they did in 2015 and added 138 full-time equivalent lawyers to their payrolls. That means the average revenue growth at the three firms outpaced that of the nation's 100 largest firms, which on average saw an increase in revenue of 4.3 percent.

Greenberg Traurig stayed in the No. 14 spot on the Am Law 100 list, despite a 4.2 percent increase in gross revenue to $1.38 billion.The firm had ranked tenth on the list in Fiscal Year 2011 with a gross revenue of $1.24 billion. But its revenue dropped in subsequent years and it took three years to come back to previous levels, with gross revenue reaching $1.27 billion in 2014.
