Miami plaintiffs attorney Jim Ferraro wants to change federal law.

The Ferraro Law Firm shareholder known for his asbestos work believes companies that submit studies to regulators for a product's approval shouldn't be able to exclude the same studies as evidence in a courtroom. But he knows before he can change the law, he needs to raise public awareness — so he wrote a book.

“Blindsided” is the story of Ferraro's groundbreaking 1996 trial against the chemical company DuPont, which a jury found liable for making a fungicide that caused a pregnant woman who was accidentally doused in it to give birth to a baby with no eyes.
