Plaintiffs attorneys in the Takata air bag multidistrict litigation said Monday they don’t expect its bankruptcy filing to affect the proceedings against automakers, including four that have agreed to settle.

Takata Corp. automatically gains a litigation stay under the bankruptcy filings in Tokyo and the U.S., but the filings themselves have been anticipated for so many months that they already have been factored into the litigation before U.S. District Judge Federico Moreno in Miami.
