The Broward League of Cities names its presidential award for Goren, Cherof, Doody & Ezrol partner Samuel Goren.

The Broward League of Cities has renamed its leadership award after Goren, Cherof, Doody & Ezrol partner Samuel S. Goren.
The first Goren Presidential Award was presented at the group's annual gala to Goren in recognition of decades of service to the nonpartisan group focused on improving government in Broward County's 31 municipalities.
Outgoing League President Greg Ross commended Goren for “providing us with leadership, guidance and counsel on legal matters at any hour of the day from any place.” Ross added, “Your knowledge, commitment, professionalism and integrity will serve as benchmarks for future award recipients.”

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.
