One attorney names another honoree as a mentor, and she names a former fellow Florida Supreme Court justice. Inspiration came from relatives, law professors and people who went out of their way to offer their time and critical advice to attorneys early in their law careers.

Mentors offered feedback and support, encouraged involvement and served as role models by allowing the honorees to witness a sliver of their lives in law.
