The Daily Business Review is proud to profile its 2017 Top Women in Law.
 
With South Florida as the proving ground, these 10 women became overachievers in a profession that has slowly made room for them over time.
 
From judges to law firm managers, the honorees have been recognized as women who stand out for their notable career achievements in a male-dominated field.
 
The special report features biographies of the honorees, and their profiles have been personalized by responses to a set of questions from the women themselves. Their explorations included the value of mentors in their lives and careers.
 
For the judging, the DBR asked for insight from respected professionals who considered more than 70 candidates from the bench, public interest organizations, law firms and companies where women have made their mark.
