Former DLA Piper partner Emil Infante has defected to Holland & Knight's Miami office as a member of the firm's corporate and Latin America practices.

Infante, who joined DLA Piper in 2014 from Foley & Lardner after 10 years at his own firm, represents wealthy Latin American families, their operating companies and their family offices. He started at Holland & Knight Aug. 7.

Infante said he felt he would be better able to service his South Florida clients at Holland & Knight because of its strong historical ties to the community and its reputation in many practice areas. Working with family offices is a diverse practice, so he dabbles in many different aspects of law and he looks forward to working with the litigation, entertainment, real estate, governmental affairs and food and beverage attorneys at Holland & Knight, he said. “I get to deal with people from all parts of the firm,” Infante said.
