A wake is set for Monday evening for retired Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat, with a funeral service scheduled for Tuesday.
The noted former jurist and Florida state representative died Aug. 19 at about 10:50 p.m. He was 72.
“We miss him, what can I tell you,” said his former mentor, Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Peter Lopez. “He loved his job. He loved going to work every day. He didn't feel he was ready to retire.”
