Some South Florida state courts and at least one law school have announced closures as the region braces for Hurricane Irma in the Atlantic Ocean.

All Miami-Dade courts and Clerk of Courts’ offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Court administrators announced bond hearings would follow a weekend or holiday schedule at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building at 1351 NW 12 St. in Miami.
