State courts in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties will be closed Sept. 11 due to Hurricane Irma.

The Florida Supreme Court provides updated information on the closures of other state courts on its website. All state courts were closed Friday.

The closures come as Hurricane Irma barrels toward Florida as a potentially catastrophic Category 4 storm with sustained winds of 150 mph, according to Friday morning's projections. It follows a move Monday by Gov. Rick Scott, who declared a state of emergency for the state.
