Two well-known South Florida attorneys may continue to oppose each other in litigation even though one once represented the other, an appellate court ruled.

Miami attorney Andy Hall is free to pursue a lawsuit against his former client and Dania Beach lawyer Jeremy Alters, the court ruled Wednesday, because Hall’s representation of Alters was in a completely separate matter and ended years before the current litigation was filed.
