Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod has jumped in to assist Legal Services of Greater Miami, providing the organization with office space while it remains without power.

Several attorneys held a moot court session at Bilzin on Monday to help Legal Services attorney Jacqueline Ledon prepare for oral arguments in an appellate case that is scheduled for Tuesday, said Legal Services’ Director of Litigation Jeffrey Hearne. Usually the organization’s staff holds larger moot court the week before to prepare, but Hurricane Irma changed those plans. The case involves a dispute over a terminated deal with a nonprofit housing provider represented by Legal Services.
