Kaplan University parent Kaplan Inc., which provides test preparation and other classes and training, will keep its headquarters in Fort Lauderdale after renewing its lease for the 193,000-square-foot office complex where it's been housed since 2004. Terms of the renewal were not disclosed.

Kaplan's corporate, management, administrative and support offices are in two Class A buildings at 1515 and 1525 Cypress Creek Road in the Cypress Creek Concourse, a 45-acre office park.

Real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield executive managing director Jeffrey P. Samaras, executive managing director Kent Ilhardt, executive director Jeff Holding, vice chairman Franklin Speyer, vice chairman and Midtown Manhattan managing principal Lou D'Avanzo, associate Ryan Harder, senior transaction manager Christina Fiedler and senior director A.J. Belt worked on securing the long-term lease on behalf of Kaplan. The firm also negotiated Kaplan's original lease in 2004.
