The Archdiocese of Miami is selling the Archbishop Curley-Notre Dame High School for redevelopment after closing the school this year. The 15.56-acre campus at 4949 NE Second Ave. could be built out with up to 5 million square feet of new development, including buildings reaching up to 28 stories.

The location — east of Northeast Second Avenue, west of the Florida East Coast Railway tracks and about 1,100 feet south of Northeast 54th Street — is in an area that's garnered interest from developers, according to one of the principals marketing the site.

“The market in that area has just turned around. There's extreme interest from developers to develop in this area, and that is the driving force to sell at this time,” said David Duckworth, principal of commercial real estate firm Avison Young in Fort Lauderdale.
