Miami-Dade County Court Judge Spencer Multack was elevated to the circuit bench Friday.

Multack, 42, became a judge in 2011 after a decade working as a state prosecutor. He is an Aventura resident and a University of Miami School of Law graduate.

The other nominees for the seat were Miami-Dade County Court Judges William Altfield, Tanya Brinkley, Carlos Guzman and Andrea Ricker Wolfson, and Miami federal public defender Ayana Harris.

Multack fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Rosa Rodriguez, who was a circuit judge for 19 years. She is now with the dispute resolution firm Salmon & Dulberg in Miami.
