(L-to-R) Michael Foster and Kristopher Aungst.

Three Fort Lauderdale Tripp Scott lawyers working in restructuring and bankruptcy litigation have jumped to Wargo French's 11-lawyer office in Miami.

Two of them, Kristopher Aungst and Michael Foster, are partners who have been at Tripp Scott since 2014. They bring with them associate Angelo Castaldi, who has worked with them for more than two years. All three started at Wargo French on Jan. 16.

Their clients have included Don King, TOUSA, Inc., the Florida Department of Financial Services, and the Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Taylor, Bean & Whitaker Mortgage Corp., according to a firm spokeswoman.

Aungst's practice focuses on Chapter 11 cases, representing national and local trustees and clients in complex bankruptcy-related litigation. Foster's practice focuses on commercial litigation, bankruptcy litigation and insurance.

Aungst and Foster's practices are national in scope, and expanding their practice into the firm's Atlanta and Los Angeles offices makes the hires synergistic for Wargo French, said Joseph Wargo, one of the firm's founding partners.

Wargo French's Miami office opened in August 2011 and its practices focus on general corporate, labor and employment, complex commercial litigation, financial services litigation and creditor's rights and bankruptcy.
