Miami-based Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson has opened a satellite office in Coral Gables on the penthouse floor at 2020 Salzedo St. in response to client feedback.

“The Coral Gables office is an effort to better serve our clients. Over the past several years, many clients have set up shop in Coral Gables, Pinecrest and other areas south of downtown and told us that they would love to see us there, too,” said managing director Rick Schatz.

About 15 to 20 lawyers will split their time between the new office and the downtown Miami office in the Museum Tower at 150 W. Flagler St.

The firm will host clients and events at its new office, which can be used by clients coming from the south and people using Miami International Airport.

The Coral Gables office is the firm's fifth location, with other offices in Fort Lauderdale, Tampa and Tallahassee.

“We are growing our presence and capabilities throughout the state,” Schatz said. “The Coral Gables office is part of our ongoing objective to meet the needs of our current and future clients throughout Florida.”

The firm concentrates on business restructuring, corporate and securities, labor and employment, real estate, litigation and dispute resolution and tax issues.
