Metropica Developers Make Headway in Sunrise
Approved in 2014, the sprawling mixed-use mini-community between Sawgrass Mills and the Sawgrass Expressway will be 10 years in the making.

The Metropica project will bring 4 million square feet of homes, offices and stores to 65 suburban acres in Sunrise. The development team made strides in recent weeks by topping off the first residential tower and signing Urban Outfitters to open once the retail segment launches. The full development west of the Sawgrass Mills outlet mall is due to be finished in 2024.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
