MOTOR VEHICLE

ST. LUCIE CIRCUIT COURT

A jury found a truck driver was not to blame for a crash that injured two people.

In June 2016, Joseph Gold was driving on Florida's Turnpike in St. Lucie County with his wife, Robin Denison, as a front-seat passenger. Their SUV was involved in a collision with Redin Murillo's tractor-trailer, which was traveling in the same direction.

Gold claimed injuries to his neck and back, and Denison suffered multiple fractures. They alleged Murillo drifted into the left lane, causing the left, rear of the trailer to sideswipe the right front side of their SUV.

Murillo claimed both vehicles were in the right lane when Gold rear-ended the truck.
