Isaac Marcushamer has joined Kaplan Residential in Miami as general counsel and managing director. Marcushamer will source and analyze acquisitions and transactions for Kaplan Residential as well as identify equity and capital partners.
Walter G. Latimer, Bruneley Lalanne, Lindsay Massillon, Tamara Pallas, Bruno Renda, William A. Volet, Charlotte P. Zubizarreta and Katina M. Hardee have joined Fowler White Burnett in its Miami and Fort Lauderdale offices. Juan C. Zorrilla was elected an equity shareholder.
Jennifer A. Tschetter has joined Carlton Fields in Tallahassee as of counsel. Tschetter's practice focuses on cannabis law, assisting treatment centers with application, administrative litigation, license sales, and regulatory compliance.
Lorna E. Brown-Burton has joined Lubell Rosen in Fort Lauderdale as a partner and Amber L. Ruocco has joined as an associate. Brown-Burton's and Ruocco's primary area of practice is workers' compensation defense.
Stephanie M. Chaissan has joined Berger Singerman in Miami as of counsel and Andrew Zelman has joined as an associate. Chaissan's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. Zelman's practice focuses on intellectual property, class action and general liability cases in both state and federal court.
Alejandro Miyar was named Berger Singerman's first Innovation Adviser. Miyar will implement new technologies and resources to efficiently serve the firm's clients and attorneys.
Tanya C. Durst has joined Comiter, Singer, Baseman & Braun in Palm Beach Gardens as an associate. Durst's practice focuses on federal income and estate tax planning, business transactions, and federal taxation of partnerships, s-corporations and limited liability companies.

The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
