Attorney General-elect Ashley Moody on Tuesday selected a Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney litigator, a political fundraiser, a campaign aide and a farmer to coordinate her inauguration.
State Rep. Chris Sprowls, R-Clearwater, is of counsel in Buchanan Ingersoll's Tampa office. He joins the founding partner of Corcoran & Johnston fundraiser Michael Corcoran and state Sen. Wilton Simpson, an egg farmer, as co-chairs of her inaugural committee.
All four picks are from Moody's home base in the Tampa Bay area. Sprowls was a Sixth Circuit state prosecutor for seven years, was a veterans court director and has been a member of the House since 2014. Simpson has served in the Senate since 2012 and most recently served as majority leader.
Campaign finance director Samantha Blair is taking on the role of executive director for the Jan. 8 inauguration. She previously worked for the state House and the James Madison Institute.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
