Greenberg Traurig Appoints New Co-President
Senior vice president and treasurer Bradford Kaufman of the firm's West Palm Beach office has been named co-president.

Bradford Kaufman, an attorney with Greenberg Traurig's West Palm Beach practice, has been appointed co-president of the firm. Kaufman will work along side current co-president Ernest L. Greer.
“We are about big dreams, intense execution, and being one firm, without a headquarters, where merit is rewarded. Based on all those core values, there is no one in our firm more qualified to become our next co-president than Brad Kaufman,” Greenberg Executive Chairman Richard A. Rosenbaum and CEO Brian L. Duffy said in a joint statement.
Kaufman has spent 18 years at Greenberg. Before the promotion, he was senior vice president and treasurer at the firm and served as global chairman of Professional Development and Integration.
Kaufman has carved out a practice representing premiere Wall Street investment banks such as Morgan Stanley and its executives. He made recent headlines for his role as defense attorney for Roger Jenkins, a former Barclays Bank executive who is facing charges in the United Kingdom stemming from the financial crisis.
“It is a great source of pride to have been named co-president of our global and well-respected firm,” Kaufman said in a statement. “I look forward to continuing to influence how we as a firm, and as a profession, address the needs of clients while developing new lawyers and new methods for the efficient delivery of legal services.”

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
