Carlton Fields attorney Jason Gould has jumped to Drinker Biddle & Reath's Washington, D.C., office—the 18th Carlton Fields attorney to join Drinker in the last two weeks.

Jason Gould

Gould is an addition to the team of 17 Carlton Fields attorneys, including name partners James Jorden and Frank Burt, who jumped to Drinker last week. Carlton Fields dropped Jorden and Burt from its name in late February.

“Jason is an outstanding lawyer, and we are pleased he is joining Drinker Biddle,” said firm chairman Andrew Kassner. “He brings tremendous experience in successfully resolving class action and high-exposure litigation for clients, particularly in multidistrict litigation proceedings.”

Gould represents professionals and financial institutions, insurers, and other businesses in federal and state litigation and other commercial disputes nationally. He counsels clients on a wide range of matters, including complex litigation and class action lawsuits, administrative investigations, enforcement actions and matters involving regulatory compliance issues.

In a statement, Carlton Fields said that “Gould was part of the same group that left last week.”

“Drinker Biddle had a client conflict that delayed his departure,” the firm said. “We wish him well.”

Jorden's team initially came to Carlton Fields as part of a merger in 2014, enjoining Carlton with Jorden and Burt's 70-attorney firm.
