Becker, a mid-sized law firm formerly known as Becker & Poliakoff, has hired Boyd & Jenerette partner Randy Dow.

Dow will work out of the firm's West Palm Beach office as part of the firm's construction law and litigation practice chaired by Becker partner Steven Lesser.

“Randy has considerable experience advising some of the nation's largest corporations in the construction industry and will be a significant asset to our practice,” Lesser said. “We are thrilled to welcome him to the firm.”

Dow represents insured and self-insured clients in construction disputes involving construction defects, as well as delay and impact claims arising out of residential, commercial and industrial projects. He defends clients in general and product liability claims relating to construction equipment and commercial automobile accidents and has significant experience defending large companies in complex insurance coverage and bad faith disputes.

Boyd & Jenerette did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the departure.

Fort Lauderdale-based Becker has 16 offices in 3 states, according to the firm's website. In an interview with the Daily Business Review in 2018, Becker Managing Shareholder Gary Rosen said the firm's goal is to grow in areas including construction, commercial litigation and government law and lobbying.
