Private equity and M&A attorney Matthew Bielen has joined Holland & Knight's Miami office from McDermott Will & Emery.
Bielen focuses his practice on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, direct investments, joint ventures and the related financings. His transactional and business counseling clients include private equity funds, public and private companies, business owners, executives and family offices.
“Matthew is a great fit for our growing team. He has outstanding private equity transactional experience, especially in the healthcare industry, and a talent for leading complex deals for highly regarded firms,” David Barkus, co-leader of Holland & Knight's South Florida corporate practice and national head of the firm's Private Equity Team, said in a statement.

Asked to comment on Bielen's departure, a spokesperson said in an email that “McDermott wishes Matthew well in his next endeavor.”
