The Florida Supreme Court has disciplined two South Florida lawyers since May 30, according to information released Friday.

Fort Lauderdale attorney Kirk J. Girrbach of the Guardian Law Group of Florida accepted a disciplinary revocation over pending allegations that he misappropriated $70,000 in client funds from a real estate closing.

The discipline acts as a disbarment and means Girrbach will have to wait five years before seeking readmission to the bar. According to case documents, he has agreed to reimburse the money plus interest by July 31 and to cover the Florida Bar's costs, totaling $1,810.

Girrbach is 61 and was admitted to the bar in 1990.

Boca Raton civil litigator Brian J. Glick of the Glick Law Firm will be suspended July 1 until further notice after he was held in contempt for failing to comply with a subpoena from the Florida Bar.

Glick is accused of failing to fully distribute a settlement in a personal injury case.

The bar had asked Glick to respond to an official inquiry and to produce his trust account records in December 2018. According to case documents, he said there was no reason for an audit, according to case documents, but the bar labeled that “an attempt to justify his refusal to comply with the subpoena.” Glick, admitted to the bar in 1981, is also liable for $1,250 in administrative costs.
