Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Charles Canady applauded Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Legislature in a speech Thursday at the annual Florida Bar convention for appropriating millions of extra dollars to the justice system.

Canady highlighted a $10.3 million appropriation to better fund court staff salaries, saying the incentives are essential to address turnover. DeSantis and incoming bar president John Stewart were among those attending.
