Update: Services recommenced 8:30 a.m., Friday, Aug. 2.

Any attorneys, litigants or reporters looking to start August off on a strong note might encounter some frustration if they visit the Miami-Dade Clerk of Courts’ website with the hope of accessing court documents.

Bad news: Miami-Dade County’s Civil, Family and Probate Courts Online System was malfunctioning Thursday. The webpage for the court’s standard and advance search functions informed visitors the system was unavailable, and apologized for any inconvenience.

Visitors who attempted to conduct a search through court records earlier Thursday were led to a disclaimer from the Miami-Dade Clerk of Courts regarding the information displayed on the site. Although the search interface has since reappeared on the web page, attempts to search court dockets were unsuccessful and did not display any results.

The Miami-Dade Clerk of Courts’ office apologized for the website’s issues.

“The Civil, Family and Probate Courts System has been unavailable and unfortunately we have not been able to find out when it will be back up,” the statement said. “As soon as we do, we will let you know.”
