UnitedHealthCare allegedly undercompensated a South Florida medical group for operations on young children and premature infants, according to a lawsuit filed recently in Miami-Dade Circuit Court.

The health insurance provider was named in an August complaint brought by Kidz Medical Services Inc. in Miami-Dade Circuit Court. According to the suit, United has underpaid the plaintiff, who largely provides neonatal care in hospitals throughout South Florida for procedures on patients insured by the company. The dispute allegedly began in August 2018 following the dissolution of a seven-yearlong business relationship between the parties.
