When we last checked Google images searching for South Florida federal judges, the search engine had removed a photo of a convicted sex offender listed as Chief Judge K. Michael Moore. But other problems have seeped in. U.S. District Judge Robert Scola's name is under a family picture of an Army sergeant whose home was bulldozed while he was serving in Iraq. The photo, complete with crying infant, was borrowed from a WFOR-TV article published in 2014. Scola heard Jesus Jimenez's claim against Miami-Dade County and encouraged settlement, which was the end result. And U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams' picture shows a Boston law firm partner with the same name. The photo of the other Williams is from her days at Sunstein Kann Murphy & Timbers, but the intellectual property attorney has since moved to Nutter, McClennen & Fish. On the flip side, retired U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Paul Hyman looks like he has an errant photo, but it's really him at Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins. Moore's mistaken Google image has switched to black. (Please don't hold me to this, but all the other images look correct, including a youthful U.S. District Judge William Hoeveler, photographed by the Miami Herald in 1981.) Read more: That's No Judge!
