Attorneys for Alan Dershowitz argued Tuesday that a Jeffrey Epstein accuser waited too long to sue the former Harvard Law professor for allegedly defamatory remarks he made to news media in 2015.

The argument, which tests the application of the single-publication rule in the internet age, came as his defense team lobbied a federal judge to dismiss the defamation lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre and laid out a plan of attack to put her attorneys on the witness stand should the case go to trial.
