The firm founded by prominent litigator Roy Black — Black, Srebnick, Kornspan & Stumpf — has opened an office in Palm Beach County, its first outside of Miami-Dade.
Civil and commercial litigator Lance Shinder will lead the new office as a partner. Chelsea Hackman, an associate who focuses her practice on civil litigation, has joined as well. She previously worked with Shinder at his boutique firm Shinder Law.
"I have known Lance for over a decade and have worked with him as co-counsel on several cases,'' Black said in a statement. "He is an outstanding lawyer with superb legal skills and is an excellent addition to our firm."
Firm co-managing partner Jared Lopez said that the decision to expand the 15-attorney firm stems from a steady increase in work.
"The additions of Lance and Chelsea will allow us to continue this growth while continuing to provide unparalleled service to our existing clients and their needs," Lopez said in a statement.

Black made headlines in 2017 for his representation of news organization Buzzfeed, which was facing a lawsuit for publishing a salacious Trump-Russia dossier compiled by former British intelligence operative Christopher Steele.
A judge tossed the suit in December of last year.
