Natalie Moore was appointed in January to the Miami-Dade County Court bench, filling a vacancy create by the  elevation of Judge Carlos Guzman to the circuit bench. Florida Supreme Court Justice Robert Luck, late of the Third District Court of Appeal and a nominee for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, administered the oath of office. Moore was a felony division chief and training director in the Miami-Dade state attorney's office before her appointment. The Miami native is a triple Gator, holding law, master's and bachelor degrees from the University of Florida. She has been assigned to a civil division at the North Dade Justice Center. Moore also chairs the young leaders board of Lotus House, a homelessness organization focused on women. She already has formed an election committee to retain her judicial seat.
