Denim fashion tycoon Gerard Guez is buying a unit in the soon-to-be-completed luxury Arte Surfside condominium for $11.48 million, his first home in Miami-Dade County.

Guez is founder, chairman and CEO of Los Angeles-based Sunrise Brands, the powerhouse parent company of high-end denim brands NYDJ/Not Your Daughter’s Jeans, American Rag, DG2 by Diane Gilman and Seven7 Jeans. The brands also sell other apparel and accessories.
