DUVAL CIRCUIT COURT

A jury awarded $50,000 to a woman who claimed she was injured during a test-drive at an automobile dealership.

Sharon Moody claimed she suffered herniated and bulging discs when a dealership salesmen backed into a pole. Moody claimed she cannot exercise or take long walks because of her injuries.

The defense presented a biomechanics expert, who testified the accident involved a minor impact and could not have caused the injuries that Moody claimed. The jury awarded Moody $50,000 for medical expenses and nothing for pain and suffering.
