College Student-Athlete Pay Proposal Gets Senate Backing
The Senate voted 37-2 to support SB 646, which outlines the rights of students and schools related to how college athletes could make money off their "name, image, likeness or persona."

An effort to allow Florida college athletes to make off-the-field money was approved by the Senate and awaits House action.
The Senate voted 37-2 to support the proposal (SB 646), which outlines the rights of students and schools related to how college athletes could make money off their "name, image, likeness or persona."
The Senate proposal wouldn't take effect until July 1, 2021, which Sen. Rob Bradley, R-Fleming Island, said gives the NCAA time to enact nationwide compensation rules for college athletes.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
