The University of Florida is once again the highest-ranked law school in Florida, jumping seven spots in the rankings, according to U.S. News & World Report rankings released Tuesday.

UF Levin College of Law jumped from No. 31 in last year's ranking to No. 24 in the latest report, putting it ahead of Fordham University and tied with Emory University and Arizona State University. The ranking is the school's highest spot yet and marks a 24-point climb since 2016.

The annual rankings consider 12 measures of quality, including peer assessment, median LSAT and GRE scores, acceptance rate and placement success.

U.S. News added four new specialty rankings this year to the existing seven—business and corporate law, contracts and commercial law, criminal law and constitutional law. The specialty rankings are calculated by survey responses from legal academics.

Florida State University came in second among Florida law schools, although the university dropped again, from No. 48 to No. 50. The ranking represents a drop of three spots since 2018.

The University of Miami came in third at No. 67—the same score as the year before.

After jumping ten spots last year, Florida International University registered a one-rank jump this year, from No. 91 to No. 90. And after falling six spots last year, Stetson University dropped another spot to No. 105.

The rest of Florida's law schools—Ave Maria, Barry, Florida A&M, Nova Southeastern and St. Thomas—scored in the bottom 25% of the law school rankings, falling between No. 148 and No. 194.
