President Donald Trump's Palm Beach getaway Mar-a-Lago has laid off 153 employees, the second major Trump property to report dropping workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

Mar-a-Lago Club LLC announced the layoffs in a March 31 state notice filed under the federal Worker Adjustment and Notification Act and posted by the state Friday.

Impacted full-time and seasonal staff members include 32 servers, 11 dishwashers, 19 valet attendants and six cooks.

Trump has received criticism during his presidency for his frequent visits to his 20-acre private club at 1100 S. Ocean Blvd.

Built from 1924 to 1927, the estate has a 62,500-square-foot mansion as well as the members-only Mar-a-Lago club on property that stretches from the ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway.

Trump's Doral golf resort and spa, Trump National Doral Miami, also imposed massive layoffs and furloughs impacting 560 employees. It has four championship golf courses, a 48,000-square-foot spa, hotel, villa-style accommodations and restaurants.
