PREMISES LIABILITY

ORANGE CIRCUIT COURT

A jury rejected a claim by an Epcot visitor that he fractured a wrist when he fell in a restroom.

Andrew Maille, 30 at the time of the September 2014 incident, claimed his fall and injury were a result of slipping on a puddle.

The defense questioned whether Maille actually fell, noting days passed before he filed an accident report. The defense also suggested that, if Maille fell in the restroom, it may have been a result of intoxication. The jury found no evidence of negligence by Epcot.
