Miami attorneys asked the Florida Supreme Court on Thursday to give recent law graduates an option for getting a law license without passing the bar exam due to the coronavirus upheaval.

Under the proposal, the court was asked to waive the bar exam passage requirement and admit a Florida Bar applicant based on six months of successful work for a supervising attorney. They would be allowed to work in the profession while the state figures out how to safely administer a bar exam.
